Steak as art

Kyle made steak for his dinner one night, and I thought that the colors were so vivid and striking that I had to take a photo.

It also reminded me of this great Svankmajer short:

Metal Tree

Allysen choreographed a dance that required a giant metal tree. She had to take the tree to Montreal to perform the dance, so I helped her build a tree that could be disassembled, carried in a suitcase/duffel bag, and then reassembled. It was all done using pipe fitttings and flex conduit.

Brass Tacks Typography

While brainstorming some design ideas for the Brooklyn-based band Frances, I used brass paper fasteners (a throwback to gradeschool) to create this typographic image.
