Steak as art

Kyle made steak for his dinner one night, and I thought that the colors were so vivid and striking that I had to take a photo.

It also reminded me of this great Svankmajer short:

Metal Tree

Allysen choreographed a dance that required a giant metal tree. She had to take the tree to Montreal to perform the dance, so I helped her build a tree that could be disassembled, carried in a suitcase/duffel bag, and then reassembled. It was all done using pipe fitttings and flex conduit.

Completed Plant Painting

Here is the completed plant painting on the wall in Emily's house.

Los Colores

Brass Tacks Typography

While brainstorming some design ideas for the Brooklyn-based band Frances, I used brass paper fasteners (a throwback to gradeschool) to create this typographic image.

Sixid Cartoon

New Flyer

Recent flyer for Brooklyn avant-garde quartet Bad Nancy. Their musical style demands somewhat bizarre and surrealistic imagery.

Plant Painting

Yesterday Emily and I began a collaborative painting for her new house. We sacrificed plants in her yard to use as makeshift stencils to create the initial composition. More pics of the finished painting to come soon!

Hedgehog Halloween Costume

The quills were hundreds of cable-ties attached to a thrift-store hoodie. Riding in a crowded bus was difficult.

At the end of the night, I somehow ended up on a bench with Sailor Mercury and Sue Sylvester. TV Stars.

Another Myspace Banner

Sometimes creating a myspace profile that is not hideous can be challenging.
